IEEE PIMRC'11 CALL FOR PANELS

Framework
Proposals for panels should address clearly focused topics, pertinent to the main stream of the conference. They should bring together a mix of people from industry and academia to discuss matters that are on the current agenda for wireless technologies and research.
Panel organisers will be responsible for getting all panel presenters, and providing the full information for the conference programme in due time. The number of members of a panel should not be more than 4, plus the moderator, so that there is enough time for discussion. Panel members are not exempt from registering at the conference.
Panel proposals should be sent to PIMRC´11 Panel Chairs Yves Lostanlen (YLostanlen@siradel.com) and Luis M. Correia (luis.correia@lx.it.pt).
The selection of the panels to be included in the final PIMRC program will be based upon several factors, including the fitting into the conference program, the scientific / technical interest and novelty of the topics, the quality of the proposal, balance and distinctness of topics, and the capacity of the conference program.
In case the proposal is accepted, the panel organiser needs to submit a CV for each panel member by the final paper submission deadline.

Possible topics
The topics of interest are those of the conference, but others can be proposed. Topics aiming at key areas of mobile and wireless communications are solicited, from with either technical or application perspectives. Important dates for panels
March 4, 2011: Panel Proposal submission due
April 8, 2011: Feedback provided to panel proposers
June 17, 2011: Deadline for submission of panel full information. The proposal should contain:

  • Proponent’s Name
  • Proponent’s Institution
  • Proponent’s Email
